Branch Order Management is the section of the RestroFood admin panel (found under RestroFood → Orders) where restaurant owners and branch managers view, filter, track, and act on every order across one branch or all branches from a single screen. It brings together order stats, live status tracking, and per-order actions like status updates, delivery boy assignment, and branch transfers, all in one dashboard.
It’s built on RestroFood core Easy Order Management System and, when the Multibranch add-on is active, extends it with branch-level filtering, an Independent Branch Dashboard, and an Order Transfer System so a multi-location restaurant can manage every branch’s orders centrally or drill into one location at a time.
Where to find it
In the WordPress admin sidebar, open the RestroFood menu and click Orders. If Multibranch is installed, you’ll also see Settings and Branches listed alongside it in the same menu.
Key parts of the Orders dashboard
1. Date and branch filters
At the top of the page, admins can:
- Filter by Order Date – pick a specific date to see orders placed that day.
- Filter by Delivery Date – filter by when the order is scheduled to be delivered or picked up.
- Choose a specific location from the All Branches dropdown (available on both the order-date and delivery-date filters), or leave it on “All Branches” to see everything at once.
- Click All Pre Order to jump straight to orders scheduled for a future date/time.
2. Order summary stats
Six at-a-glance cards summarize activity for the selected date and branch:
- Total Order
- Total Completed Orders
- Total Cancel Order
- Total Value
- Total Completed Order Value
- Total Cancelled Order Value
These give an instant read on order volume and revenue without opening a single order.
3. Status tabs
Below the stats, orders are grouped into five stages, each with a live count badge:
| Status | Meaning |
| New Order | Just placed, awaiting kitchen action |
| Cooking Processing | Kitchen has accepted and is preparing it |
| Cooking Completed | Food is ready |
| On The Way | Out for delivery |
| Delivery Completed | Order fulfilled |
Clicking a tab filters the table below to only that stage, useful for a kitchen manager who only cares about “Cooking Processing,” or a delivery boy checking what’s “On The Way.”
4. The orders table
Each row lists:
- Order Id
- Order Date (when it was placed)
- Delivery Date/Time (including table number for in-restaurant orders)
- Delivery Type (Delivery or Pickup)
- Payment Method/Status (e.g., Cash on Delivery, processing)
- Tracking Status (e.g., “Order Placed,” with a timestamp like “7 seconds ago”)
- Status Action – a dropdown to change the order’s stage right from the table
- View Order – opens full View Details for that order
The table supports search and pagination (“Show 10 entries,” etc.), so it stays usable even with a high order volume.
Order Details: where the real action happens
Clicking View Details opens the full order record, which includes:
- Billing Information – customer name, phone, billing address
- Shipping Information – recipient name and delivery address
- Tracking Status Action buttons – one-click controls to move the order forward: Order Cancel, Send To Cooking, Accept Cooking, Cooking Complete, On The Way, Delivery Complete
- Assign a delivery boy – pick from Select Delivery Boy and click Assign
- Transfer to another branch – pick from Select Branch and click Transfer. This is part of the Multibranch add-on’s Order Transfer System, so an order can be reassigned to a different location with one click if the original branch can’t fulfill it
- Item breakdown – item name, any extras/customizations (e.g., size, color), and item/shipping/total pricing
Why it matters
For a single-location shop, this is simply how day-to-day orders get tracked from placement to delivery. For a multi-branch operation, it’s what makes centralized control possible: an owner can see every branch’s orders in one place, a branch manager can filter down to just their location, and any order can be moved to another branch the moment it’s needed, all without leaving the Orders screen.
