Displaying your menu items clearly is one of the easiest ways to help customers browse and order faster. The RestroFood plugin includes a built-in AJAX shop page for exactly this, and it gives you three ways to put your WooCommerce products on any page of your site: a shortcode, the RestroFood shop page template, and a dedicated Elementor widget.
Before using any of these methods, make sure your food items are already added as WooCommerce products.
The 3 Ways to Show WooCommerce Products
- Using the Shortcode Generator
- Setting a RestroFood Shop Page (Template)
- Using the RestroFood Elementor Widget
1. Using the Shortcode Generator
RestroFood doesn’t just give you a shortcode to memorize, it includes a Shortcode Generator in the plugin so you can grab the correct code without guessing.
Steps:
- In your WordPress admin sidebar, go to RestroFood > Shortcode List.
- Under Shortcode Generator, open the “Shortcode For?” dropdown and select Products. (The same dropdown also has a “Delivery availability checker form” option – that generates a different shortcode for checking delivery availability, so make sure Products is selected for showing your menu.)
- The generator gives you the shortcode: [restrofood_products]
- Open (or create) the page where you want your products to appear. In the block editor, add a Shortcode block and paste [restrofood_products] into it.
- Click Publish or Update.
Why use this method: it’s the fastest option, and since it’s a shortcode, you can drop it into any page or post, a landing page, a blog post, anywhere your editor supports shortcodes.
2. Setting a RestroFood Shop Page (Template)
If you want a dedicated, ready-made shop page instead of placing a shortcode manually, assign a page as your RestroFood shop page.
Steps:
- In your WordPress admin sidebar, go to RestroFood > Settings.
- Open the Page Settings tab.
- Find Select RestroFood Shop Page and choose the page you want to use for displaying products.
- Click Save Settings.
Once saved, the RestroFood product template automatically renders on that page – no shortcode needed.
Note: The same Page Settings screen also has dropdowns for the Branch Manager, Kitchen Manager, Order Received, Delivery, and Admin pages. Those assign pages for other plugin roles and dashboards – they don’t affect your product display, so you can leave them as-is if you’re only setting up the shop page.
Why use this method: it’s a one-time setup, and the layout stays consistent every time products are added or updated.
3. Displaying Products with the Elementor Widget
If you build your pages in Elementor, RestroFood adds its own widgets to the panel.
Steps:
- Edit your page with Elementor.
- In the widget search panel, open the RESTROFOOD PLUGIN section. You’ll see two widgets here: Products Card (for your general product listing) and Flash Sale Products (for discounted items). Drag Products Card onto the page.
- In the Content tab, configure the display to fit your page:
- Limit – how many products to show
- Layout – e.g. Grid
- Layout Style – visual style variant (e.g. Style 1)
- Column – number of columns (e.g. 4 columns)
- Mini Cart Type – e.g. Canvas
- Category – filter by a specific product category, or leave as All
- Show Search – toggle a search bar on or off
- Adjust the Style tab for colors/spacing if needed, then click Update and preview the page.
Why use this method: it’s the most visual option – you can see your changes live and combine the widget with other Elementor elements like banners or testimonials on the same page.
Which Method Should You Use?
- Shortcode – best if you want to add products inside an existing page or post without building a new one.
- Shop Page Template – best for a dedicated, always-consistent shop page with minimal setup.
- Elementor Widget – best if you’re already designing in Elementor and want fine control over layout, columns, and cart style.
Conclusion
All three methods use the same underlying RestroFood product listing, so the right choice comes down to how you build your pages, not which one shows products “better.” Whichever you pick, make sure your WooCommerce products are added first, then use the Shortcode Generator, the Page Settings shop page assignment, or the Products Card widget to get them on your site.
