RestroFood Admin Login Page Customization Guide

A Guide to RestroFood Admin Login Page Customization

RestroFood gives every staff role its own dedicated portal page: Branch Manager, Kitchen Manager, Delivery, and Admin. Each of these is a real WordPress page that RestroFood turns into a branded login screen and mini-dashboard for that role.

This guide covers the Admin Page: how to assign the WordPress page that powers it, and how to customize its text, image, login form, and quick-link cards from Page Settings.

1. Where These Settings Live

All of this is configured from:

RestroFood → Page Settings → Admin Page

Admin Page: Add users: branch manager, kitchen manager, delivery man login from here

2. Step 1 – Assign the Admin Page (Pages Tab)

RestroFood Default Page

Before you can style the Admin login screen, RestroFood needs to know which WordPress page to treat as the Admin page. Open the Pages tab and check the Select Admin Page dropdown – this is the page RestroFood will render the login form, cards, and messaging on.

The same screen also lets you assign the other role pages:

  • Select Restrofood Shop Page – your storefront page
  • Select Branch Manager Page
  • Select Kitchen Manager Page
  • Select Delivery Page
  • Select Admin Page

Tip: Each dropdown should point to a normal, mostly-blank WordPress page. RestroFood injects the login screen and dashboard content into that page automatically, you don’t need to build the layout yourself.

Click Save Setting once your pages are assigned correctly.

3. Step 2 – Customize the Admin Page Content

Switch to the Admin Page tab to edit what staff sees before and while logging in.

Admin page

Field reference

FieldWhat it does
Welcome TextA short eyebrow/label shown above the page heading (e.g. STAFF AREA). Use this to signal that the page is for staff, not customers.
Page TitleThe main heading on the page (e.g. Your table, your usual order).
Page Short DescriptionSupporting sentence under the heading, giving context on what the portal is for.
Image UploadThe hero/feature image displayed alongside the heading and description. Click Upload to replace it with your own asset.
Login Form TitleThe heading shown directly on the login form card (e.g. Log in).
Login Form Short DescriptionA short line under the login form title (e.g. Pick up right where you left off.).
Page CardsA repeatable list of quick-link cards, each with a label (e.g. Orders) and a destination/slug (e.g. manage orders). Use Add Card to create a new one and Remove to delete one.

Customizing the Page Cards

The Page Cards section lets you add navigation shortcuts to the page, typically links into the areas staff use most, such as order management, kitchen view, or delivery tracking:

  • Enter a short, clear label in the left field (this is what staff will see).
  • Enter the matching link/slug in the right field.
  • Click Add Card to add another row, or Remove to delete one you no longer need.
  • Reorder by editing the rows from top to bottom, cards typically display in the order listed.

Keep labels short (one or two words) so they read well as buttons or tiles on the front end.

Saving your changes

There are two Save Settings buttons on this screen, one in the top-right header and one at the bottom of the form. Either one saves the Admin Page tab; use whichever is closer to where you’re working.

4. What Staff See on the Front End

Once saved, your Welcome Text, Page Title, Short Description, image, and login form copy come together into a single branded login screen, similar to the example below:

Admin login page

On this page, staff can:

  • Read the heading, description, and any quick-link cards you’ve configured
  • Log in with their username/email and password
  • Use Lost your password? to reset credentials if needed

Note: The exact wording, image, and card labels shown will reflect whatever you’ve entered in the Admin Page tab, the screenshot above is just one example configuration.

5. Practical Tips

  • Keep the Welcome Text distinct from the customer account page (e.g., STAFF AREA vs. a customer-friendly greeting), so staff immediately know they’re on the right portal.
  • Match your card labels to real destinations – a card like Kitchen linking to manage kitchen should point somewhere staff with Kitchen Manager access can actually reach.
  • Re-check the Pages tab after changing your site’s page structure. If a page assigned to a role is ever deleted or unpublished, update the dropdown in the Pages tab to point to a valid page.
  • Upload a compressed image for the hero graphic – large uploads can slow down the login page’s load time.
  • Test as a non-admin user where possible, since the Admin Page is meant for staff logins rather than your main WordPress administrator account.

6. Quick Checklist

  • Assigned the correct page under Pages → Select Admin Page
  • Set a clear Welcome Text to distinguish this from the customer account page
  • Wrote a Page Title and Page Short Description that explain the portal’s purpose
  • Uploaded a hero Image
  • Set Login Form Title and Login Form Short Description
  • Added/edited Page Cards with accurate labels and links
  • Clicked Save Setting
